Park Scavenger Hunt

Submit your hunt by email to cityhall@ci.shorewood.mn.us, or drop it off in the utility payment box at city hall and get a Republic Services water bottle, plus be entered in a drawing for:

  • Adults and kids age 12 and over:
    $10 gift card to Adel's or
    $10 gift card to Lick's or
    $15 gift card to Kowalski's
  • Kids age 4- 8: Excelsior Fire District VIP package
  • Kids entering grades 3-5: Free Safety Camp registration (must turn in by August 1)

Classes and Programs

55+ Fitness Class

Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 8:15 am
$6 per session (discount packages available)
Exercise classes for the active Baby Boomers! You can improve your aerobic power, lower body endurance, strength, flexibility and balance. It's a fitness class that feels like a party!

Chair Fitness

Wednesdays, 10 a.m., $6 (returns to the center in the spring)
Do you want to stay fit, or increase your fitness level, but need the stability of a chair? This fun class is for you! Enjoy some great exercise, fun music, and a community of support.


Thursdays, 12-1 p.m ( meeting online during the #StayAtHome order)

If you have wondered what Toastmasters is all about, or used to be in a group and are looking for a local group to join, stop by this easy-going group any Thursday. Learn how to be more comfortable speaking in public and get tips to improve your outcome. No RSVP necessary. Get more information online.

Weekly Quilt Group

Every Monday and Wednesday from 9 am-Noon

Every Tuesday, 1 pm, No registration necessary
Bring beads for group beading if you have experience! Come and learn and use our beads if you have little or no beading experience! This social beading experience is fun and there is plenty of room to spread out and design. For more information contact Linda at 952.475.1430.

Senior Partners Memberships

Those 55 and over may support community programming and the community center with a membership to Southshore Senior Partners. Membership options: $25 for single $40 for dual. Any age may offer support with advanced giving levels: $50 supporting level; $100 sustaining member. Members get a newsletter, reduced price lunches, discounts on some classes and trips. The Life of Monarchs

Tuesday, April 14, 1-2 p.m.
Learn about monarchs from the experts! The Monarch Joint Venture’s program will cover the basic life cycle of monarchs, their migration, the threats they face and how YOU can help. Participants can take home locally sourced seeds to increase the habitat for monarchs and other pollinators. Due to the season, there will not be live monarchs at this event. RSVP 952.474.7635

Best Practices for Composting and Recycling

Monday, April 27, 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.; $15
Are you a “Wish Cycler?” Recycling can be confusing, but through understanding the process, you will become a better recycler and citizen of this planet. This session will also focus on the importance of composting, how to easily get started at home and how to dispose of your organics. Bring items from home if you have questions about their disposal.
